We started in 2015 and we are still based in Norwich. Artificial grass, porcelain patios, driveways, fencing and garden rooms, all fitted by our own team rather than handed to whoever is available that week.
Norfolk is more varied underfoot than people who have not dug it up tend to assume. The clay round Dereham holds water for days. The Breckland sand south of Thetford drains almost too fast and will settle if you do not compact it properly. Out at Yarmouth and along the north coast the salt wind gets into everything, and posts need setting deeper than any sheltered town garden would ever ask for.
None of that changes what we install. It changes how we build the base underneath it, which is the part nobody sees and the part that decides whether the job still looks right in ten years. It is also why we come and look before we put a price on anything.

NR1-NR8, NR13, NR14
Where we are based and where most of our work is. The ground rarely fights us here, so a job is usually more about access, levels and working round mature planting than about the soil.
NR9, NR15-NR18, NR35, IP20-IP22
Market towns and commuter villages along the A11 and A140. Older town-centre gardens come with set levels and established planting to design around. The newer estates off the A11 are flatter and more regular, which usually makes for a quicker job.
NR12, NR13, NR29-NR31
Salt wind is what changes the job out here. It weathers timber and fixings faster than anywhere else we work, and the sandy subsoil near the front will settle if the base is not compacted properly.
NR11, NR21-NR28
Exposed clifftop and open-coast plots, and a lot of conservation-area property. Wind loading decides how we set posts, and the finish has to suit the house rather than just the brochure.
NR9, NR17, NR19, NR20
Medium to heavy loam sitting over clay, and it holds water. We spend more time on drainage and sub-base depth here than almost anywhere else in the county.
PE30-PE38, IP24-IP26
Two very different jobs in one region. Low-lying, tidally influenced ground near the Great Ouse, where the water table drives everything, and light free-draining Breckland sand to the south that drains fast but needs careful compacting.

No. Travel is built into how we schedule, so a job in King's Lynn is priced the same way as one in Thorpe St Andrew. The price follows the size of the job, the materials and what we find when we dig, not the distance from Norwich.
That is most of what we do. Paving, lawn, fencing, a driveway and a garden building tend to run into each other on levels, drainage and access, and it goes better when one team plans all of it instead of three trades turning up in the wrong order. We are happy to do a single service too.
